Reimagining the future through design.

SPEAKING EVENTS

IDSA presents Design Voices: a recurring series of short-form virtual design events that bring together top design leaders to present, discuss, and debate current trends and specific practice areas.

Each 1-hour Design Voices webinar offers an in-depth discussion and presentations from industry experts, followed by a moderated Q&A where attendees can post questions and interact with the presenters. Topics are pulled from a variety of sources, including IDSA's Special Interest Sections, in-the-moment design trends, and subjects requested by our community.

2021 Design Voices Host & Curator

The upcoming Design Voices sessions will be curated and hosted by Başak Altan, IDSA, a design strategist, educator, future thinker, and connector.

WOMEN IN DESIGN

Discussion on Closing the Gender Gap Through Design

"When women are involved in decision-making, in research, in knowledge production, women do not get forgotten. Female lives and perspectives are brought out of the shadows. This is to the benefit of women everywhere ... and it is often to the benefit of humanity as a whole." - Caroline Criado Perez, Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men

Join us for a discussion of Perez’s book, reflecting on your experiences as designers and where you see opportunities for improvement and growth in your profession to close the representation gap.
